Mr Geoff Favell

Geoff Favell has a career spanning 25 years in the Queensland public sector. Geoff has worked in a number of senior roles across the employment, industrial relations and training portfolios in Brisbane and regional centres including the Gold Coast, Mount Isa, Cairns and Toowoomba.
As Executive Director, Skills Queensland at the Queensland Department of Education and Training, Geoff is responsible for the department’s industry engagement strategies which are developing innovative solutions to address the skills and labour shortage in Queensland; the strategic purchasing of training for Queensland; providing advice on the vocational education and training priorities and ensuring the contractual obligations of public and private training organisations are met.
