2010 NVEAC Work Plan

The National VET Equity Advisory Council 2010 NVEAC Work Plan supports a strong commitment to breaking the cycle of disadvantage. The focus is to provide learners experiencing disadvantage with the opportunity to achieve outcomes that match those achieved by other students in the VET system.

Four key themes underpin the 2010 NVEAC Work Plan:

1. Vision and strategy for achieving equity and excellence in all aspects of the national training system.
2. Developing an investment model to support equity groups in VET.
3. Performance measures and targets for equity in VET.
4. Forming partnerships and engaging with the training and education sectors.

During 2010 NVEAC is undertaking the following projects in support of these themes:

Equity Blueprint
Good Practice Approaches to Equity in VET
Providing support to disadvantaged learners in the Australian VET System
Economic and Social benefit of increased participation by disadvantaged student in VET
Legislation Review
Performance Measures and Targets for Equity in VET
